Testimonials

I am the partner of a tennis team player but a non player myself. My partner was keen to go on the trip and I thought - Why not, it could be good for my fitness and a bit of an adventure I will go too.

I had a lesson or two with Teo to blow off the cobwebs and off we went. The tennis centre, Levent, and the team are lovely, and it was interesting to see the young stars practicing before school every morning when we arrived.

The coaching was excellent ; very effective and I learned a lot about every stroke type and positioning etc. All the hints and tips were so useful. At one point I decided to use a spare hour to hit some serves to practice my new moves ! One of the coaches and Teo also spent time with me and 1000+ balls later I think it was cemented!

The whole group were regular players, and were both welcoming and encouraging. I made new friends and now I feel more confident about joining in with activities at Swanland. It was a treat to be playing on different court surfaces and have the conditioning - fast feet to stretching, and not least to enjoy delicious food prepared on the patio watching over tennis playing on the courts.

In the afternoon we did a lot of trips, which although a bit jaded from the morning, were still interesting. One highlight was a meal on a boat on the last evening floating along the Bosphorus Strait on a boat all to ourselves.

I was indeed fitter, better at tennis and a little sunkissed by the end of the adventure.- Judi

I started having tennis lessons with Teo when I was 5/6. After taking a break at 16 due to injury, I have started playing again aged 24. I enjoy the variety of drills and the social aspect of playing with the same ladies every week.

I feel very accomplished coming back to the sport after a break of 8 years to be able to pick up a racket and remember the techniques I was taught as a child. What a testament to the quality of the coaching received with Teo!

I would recommend taking lessons to people of all ages. Teo is a very patient and determined coach, who takes time to understand the needs and qualities of each player. I also blame him for the competitive streak I developed as a child!! - Olivia P.

I took up tennis late in life as a result my confidence was low. Therefore, when I was deciding which tennis club to join, coaching was a key factor. I can safely day that I made the correct choice when joining Swanland LTC. Teo has certainly improved my confidence and I am now able to play with others without feeling out of place. My game has improved a great deal and my love of tennis is here for life. - A P

My daughter Tilley loves going to Teo's tennis training sessions and looks forward to attending every week. In just a few weeks the training has really helped build her confidence, fitness and co-ordination. Her backhand is fierce and she will soon be challenging Mummy on the court. The kids love Teo and he clearly loves working with them. The kids respect him as he gets the balance right between being fun, supportive with clear direction & strictness. I was so impressed with the training that I personally signed up to attend Teo's Tennis." - Denise K

“Took up tennis in my 40s to get fitter and to develop a new skill. This is certainly one of the better decisions of my life. With both one to one lessons and group sessions, I have improved my fitness several fold and have made new friends including Teo. He is masterful in his approach to individuals making each session physically challenging yet enjoyable. I wish I had taken it up earlier in my life." - Dr. Raj Roy

"I really enjoy my tennis training sessions, it is great exercise, fun and works the whole body. You don’t even realise how much exercise it is running around after the ball, its also good mentally thinking about the shot, trying for a good technique and its even better when you win he odd point from Teo! - Yvette - Saturday afternoon Ladies tennis session.

We just started with Coach Teo and already I am impressed with the structure and standard of the camps. I would highly recommend!- Samantha G

I have been going to Teo's Sunday morning tennis group for about 10 years now. There is a great sense of camaraderie and being out on the courts on a sunny morning is a real treat. It's possible that my tennis has improved but the focus is not on competition, it's all about enjoyment and that's what keeps me going back. - Ralph W

Great holiday camp! My son attended the fun afternoons and had a blast. He’s normally quite shy but was made to feel really comfortable and quickly made some friends. Booking was easy and everything well organised. Well Done to Teo, a real bonus to have this club locally in Swanland. My son also enjoyed his lessons with Sam, who is very patient! Thank you, we will be back. - L Moog

I have been attending Tennis classes with Teo for over 10 years. I was a complete beginner when I started playing and I liked that I could train and try to improve my tennis and my fitness in and unpressured, fun and friendly atmosphere. I would recommend his coaching for everyone from beginners upwards. - Anne A

“The uniqueness of Teo’s training is that he straightaway recognises individual's strengths and weaknesses in terms of his or her capability. Accordingly he develops his student so that he or she can learn the craft with enthusiasm without losing their confidence. His super sense of humour and very friendly attitude can make you feel warm and very comfortable whilst training in a freezing cold morning. Trust me – I have been taking lessons from him for past nine years at a regular basis – one of the best decisions taken by me for a holistic well-being." - Shree R

I have been coming to Teo’s Ladies Training sessions for 5 years. I started as a complete beginner and have steadily improved (I hope!) in a friendly, low pressure environment. The Saturday sessions are a great opportunity for me to fit in regular exercise with a full working week and are a social event too – we always make time for a chat and catch up with everyone’s news. - Helen N

I can remember it had been over twenty five years since I had last picked up a tennis racket when a works colleague suggested we should have some tennis lessons with Teo. At the time I was going through a very challenging period in my life, but the weekly one hour sessions quickly developed in becoming the highlight of the week.

Not only did it improve me physically but also my mental capability to cope with the burden of stress I was under.

A decade later I am still thoroughly enjoying my weekly sessions although he still doesn’t allow me to beat him.

Over the years I have seen a lot of people who have had some initial tennis lessons with Teo, showing at first little aptitude for the game but through Teo’s coaching skills, his love for the game , enthusiasm, patience and humour, he has developed them into competent players.

I also attend his group coaching sessions, again which I thoroughly enjoy and this has enabled me to meet number of people, many of which I would now call my friends.

For anyone who has the slightest inclination to pick up a tennis racket, I would urge you to have some lessons with Teo, with his coaching skills I think you will surprise yourself as to what you can achieve! - David
